From the venue, giant themed props to 80’s novelties for all the guests, a series of 80’s entertainment and even 80’s retro arcade games!!! The party was amazing!! We always knew that for our wedding we wanted to do something a bit different. Going to a hotel and choosing a package wasn’t really an option for us, as we wanted to be able to piece together our favourite food, wines, music and decorations, without any of the limitations you can come across at a standard venue.
What we also knew however was that by not going to a standard venue we wouldn’t have a wedding coordinator or an events assistant to rely on.
Instead, I was recommended to speak to Harriet at Cheshire Cats and I couldn’t have been happier with the suggestion. Harriet was a pleasure to work with - coming up with creative ideas for decorations, liaising with suppliers and being a sounding board for ideas throughout the planning process. She also kept ideas within budget which is always important for a bride-to-be.
On the day itself Harriet ran a tight ship. This wasn’t an easy task as we had several different suppliers sorting several different elements of our day, but for us and our guests it all ran like clockwork. Harriet was also a real pleasure to have there and as part of our day, she had a cunning knack of appearing at my side whenever I had a question, but at all other times blending in seamlessly with the day.
